Stores Administrator - Luxury Safari Lodge (Sabi Sands Area)
A premium safari lodge in the Sabi Sands region is seeking a detail-driven, organised and energetic Stores Administrator. All client-identifying details have been removed.
About the RoleYou'll support the Purchasing & Procurement function with daily administration, ordering, stock control and supplier management, while providing full leave cover for the Procurement Manager. "The Stores Administrator provides full leave cover as well as assistance to the Purchasing & Procurement Manager in daily data capturing, administration, placing of orders and monthly stock takes."
Key Responsibilities- Place orders and manage daily administrative tasks
- Conduct preliminary stock counts and assist with monthly stock takes
- Raise purchase orders and process supplier invoices
- Update lodge & housekeeping requisitions daily
- Manage staff food allowances and daily cash-ups
- Assist with deliveries: verify quantities, pricing, quality & expiry dates
- Complete delivery-related H&S checklists
- Notify suppliers of shortages or damages
- Reconcile supplier statements and petty cash
- Investigate and report stock variances or discrepancies
- Ensure procurement documentation is complete and audit-ready
- Assist with deliveries, verify quantities, prices, quality, expiry dates etc.
- ±3 years' experience in purchasing/procurement
- Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook; Sage X3 & HMS Infor advantageous)
- Excellent spoken & written English
- Methodical, organised and thorough
- Strong administrative and data‑capturing ability
- Excellent planning and communication skills
- Hands‑on, flexible and able to prioritise under pressure
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Realistic expectations of bush life
- Well-groomed with good personal hygiene
