Are you an organised, detail-driven Supply Chain Administrator / Stock Controller who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?
A well-established manufacturing operation is looking for a hands-on individual to support both the Production and Supply Chain functions, ensuring that stock, procurement, documentation and reporting are accurately controlled from receipt through to final allocation.
The Role This is a varied position combining stock control, supply chain administration, procurement support, inventory management and reconciliations. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock records across multiple locations while ensuring that all supporting documentation and system information is up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor inventory across multiple warehouses and locations.
- Conduct monthly stock counts and regular cycle counts.
- Investigate and reconcile stock variances and discrepancies.
- Verify physical stock against purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes and system records.
- Monitor stock levels and identify shortages, excess or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure accurate processing of all stock movements within inventory and accounting systems.
- Manage imported stock and ensure all import documentation is complete and accurately captured.
- Handle daily POD scanning, verification and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Request and evaluate supplier quotations and assist with sourcing.
- Process and track consumables, pallets and other procurement requirements.
- Track production consumable usage and support sustainability reporting.
- Assist with waste sales invoicing, tracking and control.
- Prepare payment packs and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Assist with customer and supplier credits and delivery-related variances.
- Prepare stock count reports and recommend corrective action where required.
- Support the Production and Supply Chain Managers with reporting and general administration.
- Matric is essential.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Stock Control, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management or a similar role.
- Manufacturing experience is essential.
- Experience managing high-volume inventory and multiple stock locations.
- Exposure to imported stock and import documentation.
- Strong MS Office / MS Suite skills.
- Excellent numerical, reconciliation and analytical abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- High levels of integrity, accountability and ownership.
Experience with in corrugated board, packaging, paper, FMCG or other high-volume production environments will be highly advantageous.
