Location: Vereeniging

Our client in the hydraulics, pneumatics, tools and abrasives industry is seeking to employ a Stock Controller to join their team based in Vereeniging.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years' relevant stock-control or inventory-management experience.
  • Experience in a multi-branch, wholesale, industrial, engineering or distribution environment.
  • Matric non-negotiable.
  • A qualification in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement or Finance will be advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP Business One or a similar ERP system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with stock counts, stock transfers, stock adjustments and inventory reconciliations.
  • Commercial awareness regarding the financial impact of excess, obsolete and unavailable stock.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and determine root causes.
Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of Kiloton's inventory accuracy, stock availability and stock optimisation.
  • Maintain accurate stock records across branches and warehouses.
  • Process and monitor stock and branch transfers.
  • Investigate stock variances, discrepancies and unusual stock movements.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and assist with full stock counts.
  • Monitor excess, slow-moving, aged, obsolete and stocked-out items.
  • Recommend stock redistribution based on branch demand and availability.
  • Assist Procurement with replenishment priorities.
  • Ensure stock transfers are correctly dispatched, received and posted.
  • Maintain proper supporting documentation and audit trails.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly stock-control reports.
  • Liaise with Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, Sales, Workshop and branch teams.
  • Reducing excess and aged stock.
  • Preventing avoidable stock-outs.
  • Ensuring that all stock movements are processed accurately and timeously.
