Paper Procurement Officer

Location: Turffontein

A leading organisation in the manufacturing industry is currently recruiting for a Paper Procurement Officer to join their team. This is an urgent appointment and an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional with a strong understanding of the paper industry, local and international markets, and high-value purchasing.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Managing the procurement of paper across local and international markets
• Sourcing, negotiating and placing high-value orders
• Monitoring supplier pricing, availability and lead times
• Analysing market trends and procurement data to support purchasing decisions
• Managing supplier relationships and ensuring continuity of supply
• Preparing and managing procurement documentation and authorisations
• Ensuring purchases align with business requirements, budgets and approval processes
• Working closely with Production Planning and internal stakeholders
• Managing multiple orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment

What we're looking for:

✔ 3–5 years' procurement experience
✔ Must-have:
Paper procurement experience
✔ Experience dealing with local and international suppliers
✔ Strong analytical and commercial skills
✔ Experience managing high-value procurement transactions
✔ Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities
✔ Excellent attention to detail and administration
✔ Ability to work confidently with procurement authorisations and significant financial values
✔ Strong Excel and reporting skills
A background in paper procurement, production planning or a closely related manufacturing environment will be highly advantageous.
