About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator to support their operations in the FMCG sector, based in Klerksdorp , North West. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers, managing inventory levels, and coordinating logistics operations. You will play a key part in optimizing the supply chain to reduce costs and improve delivery times, contributing to the overall success of the company.
The ideal candidate has a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of supply chain principles within a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory, and logistics.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock holding and minimize stockouts.
- Process purchase orders and manage supplier relationships to ensure terms and conditions are met.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
- Assist in the development and implementation of supply chain improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Coordinator or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices within the FMCG industry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
