About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist with expertise in raw materials to join their FMCG operations in Nelspruit . This hybrid role is essential for securing high-quality raw materials at competitive prices, ensuring the continuous production of their diverse product range. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and mitigate supply chain risks.
This is a key position within the operations team, offering the chance to make a significant impact on efficiency and profitability in a flexible hybrid work setting.
- Source and procure high-quality raw materials for FMCG production, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and negotiations.
- Negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing, and payment conditions with suppliers.
- Monitor market trends for raw materials and identify potential risks or opportunities that could impact supply or cost.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to ensure materials meet required specifications.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials to support production schedules efficiently.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or Buyer, with a focus on raw materials in the FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of global and local raw material markets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems; comfortable working in a hybrid model in Nelspruit .
