About the Role
Our client is seeking a focused Procurement Specialist to manage the acquisition of indirect services within their operations in Nelspruit. This role requires expertise in sourcing and managing contracts for a wide range of non-production related goods and services, such as IT, marketing, HR, and facilities management. You will be responsible for ensuring that these services are procured cost-effectively, meet quality standards, and align with the company's strategic goals in the Mpumalanga province.
The successful candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a keen understanding of the service provider market.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect services, including IT, professional services, and facilities management.
- Manage the entire procurement lifecycle for indirect spend, from requisition to contract closeout.
- Conduct thorough supplier research, RFx processes, and negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and contract terms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement solutions meet business requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, spend data, and supplier performance metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, with a specific focus on indirect services.
- Proven ability in contract negotiation, drafting, and management.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics for various service categories.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
