About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Operations Planner to join their team in Nelspruit . This role is responsible for developing and managing operational schedules, resource allocation, and production plans to ensure maximum efficiency and output. You will play a critical part in coordinating various operational activities, forecasting demand, and optimizing resource utilization to meet business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong planning skills to contribute significantly to the operational success of our client in the Nelspruit area.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed operational schedules and production plans based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of plans.
- Monitor operational progress against plans, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Manage resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize operational efficiency.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, resource utilization, and performance metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in operations planning, scheduling, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of production planning and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in planning software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in the Nelspruit environment.
