About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic Supply Chain Project Manager to drive improvements and manage key projects within their logistics and supply chain operations based in Nelspruit . This role is vital for enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the seamless flow of goods and services. You will collaborate with various departments, including procurement, logistics, and manufacturing, to implement innovative supply chain solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in supply chain management and a strong aptitude for leading complex, cross-functional projects in a key economic region.
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects aimed at optimizing the supply chain, from procurement to final delivery.
- Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for supply chain initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and logistics.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement new systems, technologies, and operational procedures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain projects, reporting on progress and identifying areas for enhancement.
- Mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity for operations in Nelspruit .
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain management or logistics, with at least 3 years in a project management capacity.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects that improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and international trade.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and project management tools.
