About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven Logistics Analyst to join their team in Nelspruit , contributing to the optimization of their supply chain operations. This role focuses on analyzing complex logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings and performance improvement. You will work closely with logistics managers and operational teams to develop insights and recommendations that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery reliability.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of logistics processes, making them instrumental in driving data-informed decision-making within a critical business function.
- Analyze logistics data, including transportation costs, delivery times, and inventory levels, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains within the supply chain.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to implement recommended changes and monitor their impact.
- Assist in forecasting logistics needs and supporting strategic planning initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in logistics analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in logistics analysis or a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights.
