About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee their logistics and supply chain operations in Nelspruit . This critical role involves managing the flow of goods from procurement to delivery, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely fulfillment of orders. You will lead a team of logistics professionals, optimize warehouse operations, and implement robust supply chain strategies. Key Responsibilities- Manage and optimize all aspects of the logistics and supply chain, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Lead, train, and motivate the operations team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Oversee inventory control and ensure accuracy, implementing best practices for stock management.
- Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms and maintain strong relationships.
- Monitor operational performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to streamline processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on logistics and supply chain.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
