Our client is seeking a strategic Supply Chain Optimization Engineer to enhance their logistics and distribution networks in Benoni . This role is critical for improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness of the entire supply chain. You will apply engineering principles, data analytics, and process improvement methodologies to identify bottlenecks, streamline operations, and implement innovative solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer passionate about optimizing complex systems within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve lead times, and enhance service levels across the supply chain.
- Develop and implement lean logistics and Six Sigma initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Utilize data analytics and modeling tools to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and plan logistics networks.
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, production, sales) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers) to achieve supply chain goals.
- Design and implement improved workflows and systems for increased operational efficiency and visibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or industrial engineering roles.
- Proven experience in applying process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) to supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and simulation tools.
- Excellent understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
