About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-driven Supply Chain Engineer to optimize their logistics and material flow operations in Vereeniging . This on-site role requires a meticulous and analytical individual who can improve the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of the entire supply chain. You will analyze complex logistics networks, implement process improvements, and work with internal and external partners to ensure smooth operations from procurement to delivery, contributing to significant operational cost savings and enhanced customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and map current supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory management, warehousing, and transportation logistics.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distribution partners to streamline material flow and reduce lead times.
- Utilize data analytics to forecast demand, manage capacity, and identify cost‑saving opportunities within the supply chain.
- Implement and manage supply chain technologies and systems to enhance visibility and operational control.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of supply chain operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain management , logistics engineering, or operations.
- Strong understanding of logistics , warehousing, transportation, and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in supply chain planning and optimization software.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
