About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Supply Chain Management to lead and optimize their entire supply chain operations in Nelspruit. This senior leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies that enhance the supply chain's performance and support the company's growth objectives.

- Develop and implement integrated supply chain strategies to meet business objectives and market demands.
- Oversee all procurement, logistics, warehousing, and transportation activities.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal sourcing strategies.
- Optimize inventory levels to minimize costs while ensuring product availability.
- Implement technology solutions and process improvements to enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency.
- Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing complex international and domestic supply chains.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor contracts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
