Midvaal Recruitment is seeking a high-performing, detail-oriented Import & Procurement Controller on behalf of a leading client based in Three Rivers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end imports and procurement for an allocated portfolio, overseeing overseas stock order shipments, and ensuring seamless supply chain execution.

Basic Salary: R18 000 – R20 000 per month

• Portfolio & Import Management:
  Manage end-to-end imports and procurement for an allocated portfolio and oversee overseas stock order shipments from origin to delivery.
• Order & Supplier Coordination:
  Validate proforma invoices, create SAP Purchase Orders (POs), and track supplier readiness proactively.
• Freight & Logistics Control:
  Obtain and compare competitive freight quotes, appoint forwarding agents, and closely monitor shipments in transit.
• Customs & Warehouse Coordination:
  Check shipping documentation, complete clearing instructions, and coordinate receipt of goods at the warehouse.
• Financials & Costing:
  Prepare supplier payments, handle Foreign Exchange Cover (FEC) requirements, calculate landed costings, and accurately book stock into SAP.
• Reporting & Risk Mitigation:
  Maintain accurate shipment reports and import files while communicating supply chain risks early.
• Team Support:
  Provide cross-portfolio backup support for other import portfolios when required.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 4 years' experience in Imports / Supply Chain Management. A financial background is highly beneficial.
• Education:
  
  Diploma or Degree in Imports / Supply Chain Management.

• Strong financial acumen and figure-oriented mindset.
• High level of computer literacy.
• SAP experience is highly beneficial.
