Procurement Officer - Logistics and Transport

Our client, a major player in the logistics and transportation sector , is looking for a dedicated Procurement Officer to join their team in Vereeniging . This role is vital for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services critical to the company's operations, including fleet maintenance, fuel, warehousing services, and IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement processes to support the company's expansive network.

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for logistics-related goods and services, including fleet components, fuel, and operational equipment.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, contract terms, and service level agreements with vendors.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities within the logistics procurement domain.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
