Procurement Specialist - Indirect

Our client is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist with a focus on indirect spend to join their established team in Vereeniging . This role is crucial for managing the acquisition of all non-production related goods and services, including IT, marketing, HR, and facilities management. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, leading negotiations, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories, ensuring best value and quality.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for various indirect spend areas.
• Conduct RFx (Request for Information/Proposal/Quotation) processes and lead supplier negotiations.
• Establish and manage strong relationships with key suppliers of indirect goods and services.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in indirect procurement.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and budgetary controls.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement , specifically with indirect spend categories.
• Proven ability to conduct complex negotiations and manage supplier contracts.
• Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, category management, and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in using procurement software.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
