E-commerce Operations Manager & Supply Chain Specialist

Our client, a growing online retailer specializing in (specific niche, e.g., home decor), is seeking an experienced E-commerce Operations Manager & Supply Chain Specialist to join their team in Klerksdorp, North West . This critical role will oversee the entire operational workflow, from inventory management and order fulfillment to logistics and customer service, ensuring a seamless and efficient e-commerce experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, warehouse management, and the intricacies of online order processing.

You will play a key role in optimizing processes, reducing costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a blend of on-site supervision and strategic planning within Klerksdorp .

• Manage and optimize all aspects of e-commerce operations, including inventory, warehousing, order processing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement efficient supply chain strategies to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular stock takes, and manage relationships with suppliers.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operations, such as order accuracy, delivery times, and cost per order.
• Manage the relationship with third-party logistics (3PL) providers if applicable.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Lead and train the operations team, fostering a culture of efficiency and customer focus.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Manage returns and exchanges processes effectively.
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to ensure smooth product launches and promotional campaigns.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce operations management, supply chain, or logistics.
• Proven track record in optimizing operational processes and managing complex supply chains.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and ERP systems.
• Experience in managing order fulfillment and shipping operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in using e-commerce platforms and related operational software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Klerksdorp, North West for the hybrid work arrangement.
