This role is based in Mokopane, Limpopo.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Reacting to abnormal activities and notification of such to the process supervisor
• General labour support, multi-discipline
• Good housekeeping
• Cleaning and painting
• Works under direct supervision and reports to Artisan
• Material handling and maintenance of machinery and equipment control specification
• Use of engineering tools
• Loading, dispatching material & equipment to work sites (as applicable per site)
• Provides assistance to all trades (Artisans) with activities within teams
• Ensure tool availability and cleanliness
• Follow work instructions
• Ensure proper understanding of the required actions
• Apply recognised work and safety standards
• Ensure that members work together as a team while completing tasks
• Ensure that tasks are completed to required quality standards
• Ensure that material is not unnecessarily wasted
• Ensure that all required tools, material and spares are available to perform tasks
• Communicate any unexpected problems to artisans
• Effective two-way communication with team members
• Help operational employees to maintain equipment in area of responsibility
• Accompany artisan when inspecting and completing tasks
• Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work procedures and identifying unsafe work practices

This role is at a Band GBF 9 level reporting to the Foreman.

• Grade 12 / NQF 4 – Maths, science, English

• Minimum of 6 Months relevant experience in engineering
• Boilermaker, Fitting, Instrumentation experience (Advantageous)
• Valid driving license (advantageous)

• Work in accordance with work schedule of area and could possibly involve working shifts
• Must be a South African Citizen
• No Criminal Record
• Must pass the relevant psychometric assessment
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English
• A valid South African Driver’s license will be advantageous
