Two luxury Big 5 game lodges in the Eastern Cape are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to take responsibility for the technical upkeep of both properties, the staff village, and the vehicle workshop.

This senior role is suited to a practical and proactive individual with strong leadership ability, excellent technical knowledge, and experience managing maintenance operations within a lodge, hospitality, or game reserve environment.

REQUIREMENT:

RSA legal residence essential
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Maintenance Management role within hospitality, lodges, or game reserves
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and fleet maintenance
Practical experience with boreholes, pumps, reticulation, and water supply systems
General building, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance knowledge essential
Experience managing preventative maintenance programmes and maintenance budgets
Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Valid Driver's License and own reliable vehicle essential
Ability to work independently and respond to after-hours emergencies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all maintenance across two luxury game lodges, the staff village, and vehicle workshop
Lead, train, and manage the maintenance team
Plan and implement preventative and reactive maintenance schedules
Ensure guest facilities, staff accommodation, and infrastructure are maintained to exceptional standards
Oversee servicing and maintenance of game drive and utility vehicles
Manage boreholes, pumps, water systems, and reserve infrastructure
Maintain stock levels, tools, spares, and supplier relationships
Coordinate maintenance projects while minimising disruption to lodge operations
Assist with general reserve infrastructure including roads, fencing, and buildings

PACKAGE:

R25,000 per month (Negotiable DOE)
Live-in accommodation provided or live-out option available for candidates residing within commuting distance of the reserve
