Our client, based in Wadeville, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Property & Maintenance Manager to take responsibility for the effective management, maintenance and upkeep of their property and facilities.

We are looking for a manager who understands that effective maintenance is not only about delegating tasks, but also about being willing to step in, troubleshoot problems and assist with repairs when needed.

You will oversee the maintenance team, coordinate day-to-day property and maintenance requirements, ensure work is completed to a high standard, and proactively identify and address maintenance issues before they become major problems.

• Matric
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (essential)
• Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman work
• Strong practical skills in plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Experience supervising or leading a small team is advantageous
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Trustworthy, reliable, and dedicated
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Involves travel between sites
• Requires physical labour and occasional work at heights

• Conduct general maintenance and repairs across residential and commercial properties
• Perform hands-on tasks including fixing cupboards, repairing taps, addressing leaks, and identifying water damage
• Inspect roofs and carry out minor roof-related maintenance (must be comfortable working at heights)
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day maintenance issues efficiently
• Supervise and manage two maintenance team members
• Coordinate and liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed timeously and to a high standard
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records
• Conduct routine inspections to proactively identify potential issues
