About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and organized Aircraft Maintenance Planner to join their remote operations team. This role is vital in coordinating and scheduling all heavy and line maintenance activities for their fleet, ensuring maximum aircraft availability and minimal downtime. You will be responsible for generating long-term and short-term maintenance plans, managing component replacements, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and manufacturer recommendations.
This position requires a thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance processes and excellent organizational skills to manage complex schedules from a remote location.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive aircraft maintenance plans, including scheduled checks, component replacements, and modifications.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, engineering, and supply chain to ensure timely availability of parts, personnel, and facilities.
- Generate work packages and task cards for scheduled maintenance events, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Monitor the progress of maintenance activities, making adjustments to the plan as needed to address unforeseen issues or changes.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., SACAA) and manufacturer's maintenance programs.
- Track aircraft status and maintenance due lists, proactively planning for upcoming requirements.
- Relevant trade qualification or experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning or scheduling.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency with maintenance planning software and ERP systems (e.g., AMOS, SAP).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with various departments remotely.
