This position will be based at the Phola Plant close to Ogies in Mpumalanga.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that mechanical maintenance and services are delivered in line with organisational and client requirements, while maintaining optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime.

• Investigate and diagnose breakdowns to determine resource requirements and order spares as per company procedures
• Conduct root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement preventative measures
• Supervise and over-inspect subordinates to ensure maintenance meets organisational standards
• Monitor equipment availability to meet production targets
• Analyse equipment efficiency and recommend improvements to optimise operations
• Communicate equipment updates and changes to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure all installations and repairs are completed safely and effectively
• Respond to breakdowns promptly to reduce downtime
• Coordinate work schedules with engineering and production teams
• Support production and maintenance performance targets
• Maintain accurate records, ensure budget compliance, and manage spares availability
• Assist in resolving invoice mismatches related to orders

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent (NQF Level
  4), including relevant NATED courses (e.g., N3 Certificate)
• Valid Section 13 Trade Test / Section 26(D) certificate in Instrumentation
• Valid driver's licence (Code B, EB, or C1)
• Own transport for call-outs

• Minimum 10 years' experience in mechanical maintenance
• At least 3-4 years' supervisory experience
• Legal liability training
• Strong English communication skills
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Employee relations and supervisory management training
• Finance knowledge for non-financial managers
• Proficient in MS Office
• Experience with planned maintenance systems
