Facility Maintenance Worker

About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable Facility Maintenance Worker to ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of their premises in Vereeniging. This role is vital for maintaining a safe, functional, and presentable environment for employees and visitors. You will be involved in a range of tasks, from routine cleaning and minor repairs to ensuring all areas meet high standards of hygiene.

• Perform general cleaning duties across the facility, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing.
• Empty trash bins, manage waste disposal, and maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas.
• Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, such as fixing leaks, changing light bulbs, or assembling furniture.
• Monitor the condition of the facility and report any potential hazards or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure all restrooms and common areas are kept clean, tidy, and well-stocked with supplies.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including the proper use of cleaning agents and equipment.

• Previous experience in a janitorial , maintenance , or similar role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Good physical condition with the ability to perform manual tasks and stand for long periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
