Facilities Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a competent Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Klerksdorp . This hybrid role focuses on maintaining the operational integrity and safety of their facilities through proactive and reactive maintenance strategies. You will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep of building systems, equipment, and grounds, blending on-site management with remote planning and reporting. Your expertise will ensure a functional, safe, and efficient working environment for all employees within the North West region.

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Oversee minor repairs and coordinate with external contractors for larger maintenance projects.
• Manage maintenance budgets and inventory of supplies and spare parts.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate necessary actions for resolution.

• Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance, and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to facility management.
