Sanitation Team Lead

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Sanitation Team Lead to guide and manage a dedicated sanitation crew at their facilities in Nelspruit. You will be responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, training team members, and maintaining the highest levels of hygiene. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a hands‑on approach to ensure all sanitation tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

• Lead, train, and supervise a team of sanitation workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure all areas are cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures and schedules.

• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed and ensuring proper storage.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for chemical handling, equipment operation, and general work practices.
• Act as the primary point of contact for sanitation‑related issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Previous experience in a sanitation or cleaning role, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and sanitation equipment.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to sanitation operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
