Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Our client is seeking a diligent Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep and operational integrity of their industrial site in Vereeniging. This is a hands-on, on-site role essential for ensuring the continuous and safe operation of all facilities and equipment. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, managing preventative maintenance schedules, responding to emergency repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Your ability to diagnose issues, implement effective solutions, and manage resources efficiently will be key to maintaining operational uptime and a safe working environment for all personnel.

• Supervise and direct the work of maintenance technicians engaged in repairing and maintaining facilities and equipment.
• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all plant machinery and infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, diagnose issues, and coordinate repair efforts.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement of maintenance supplies and services.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and costs.

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related trade.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance supervision.
• Proven experience in managing preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems commonly found in industrial settings.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
