High-Rise Building Maintenance & Cleaning Supervisor

Our client, a prominent property management group in Vereeniging , is seeking a highly experienced High-Rise Building Maintenance & Cleaning Supervisor. This critical role involves overseeing the comprehensive maintenance and sanitation operations for multi-story commercial and residential buildings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building upkeep, specialized cleaning techniques for high-rise structures, and team leadership. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal of the properties, contributing significantly to tenant satisfaction and asset value in the Vereeniging area.

• Supervise and direct teams responsible for cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs in high-rise buildings.
• Develop and implement detailed cleaning schedules, ensuring all common areas, exterior surfaces, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
• Oversee specialized cleaning operations such as facade cleaning, window washing (including working at heights), and deep cleaning of high-traffic areas.
• Coordinate and monitor routine building maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems checks.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and building code regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, maintenance equipment, and spare parts.
• Train staff on proper use of equipment, safety procedures, and client service standards.
• Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers as needed.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related supervisory role, with specific experience in high-rise environments.
• Proven expertise in managing cleaning operations for large buildings, including specialized techniques.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Experience with working at heights and safety protocols related to such activities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough inspections and create effective maintenance plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and building management software.
• Valid driver's license.
