Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a results-oriented Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance team in Benoni. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of plant equipment. You will manage a team of technicians, plan maintenance schedules, and implement preventative maintenance programs. Your leadership and technical expertise in mechanical systems within the oil and gas industry will be crucial for maintaining operational integrity and driving efficiency, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of the mechanical maintenance team.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment.
• Ensure timely and effective repair of machinery, including pumps, compressors, and turbines.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for mechanical components.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide training and development for team members.

• Relevant trade qualification or engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, piping systems, and hydraulics.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
