Project Manager - Energy Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is a major force in the energy sector and is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects in and around Vereeniging. This role demands exceptional leadership and organizational skills to manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and mitigate project risks.

• Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Oversee procurement, contract management, and vendor relations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to senior management and stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, preferably within the energy or infrastructure sector.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale capital projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMP, Agile).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with managing budgets and schedules for complex projects.
