Accountable for the overall management and effective functioning of all non-clinical functions of the practice, ensuring that the administrative infrastructure, resources, people and support services required for the effective day-to-day operation of the emergency department are appropriately managed and maintained.
Lead and manage the Administrative Team, ensuring appropriate staffing, operational readiness, employee support, development and adherence to required quality and service standards. Oversee the coordination of the practice’s administrative resources, facilities, supplies and external service providers to ensure continuity and efficiency of operations.
Provide effective operational, financial and people reporting to company leadership, enabling informed decision-making and oversight of the non-clinical performance of the practice. Partner with clinical and company leadership to ensure that administrative operations effectively support the delivery of high-quality emergency medical services and a superior patient experience.
Responsibilities- Manage and provide leadership to the Administrative Team
- Produce monthly roster, while managing roster changes and ensuring adequate staffing at all times
- Train new and existing non-clinical staff members
- Performance management of non-clinical staff
- Ensure consistent employee satisfaction by ensuring that employee queries and overall employee well-being is attended to
- Ensure all non-clinical employees are appropriately equipped and professionally presented, including the provision and management of uniforms
- Ensure adequate levels of stationery, office supplies and other administrative consumables within the unit
- Manage relationships with external service providers to ensure the effective and uninterrupted delivery of services required for the day-to-day operation of the practice
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of administrative processes and implement corrective actions and improvements where required
- Ensure administrative staff adhere to relevant practice policies, procedures, standards and operational requirements
- Prepare and provide regular financial, operational and people-related reports to the directors and relevant management
- Ensure appropriate management and utilisation of practice resources
- Liaise with hospital management and relevant stakeholders on non-clinical and administrative matters affecting the operation of the emergency department
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve administrative efficiency, employee experience and the overall patient experience
- Promote the image and reputation of the practice through professional, efficient and patient-focused administrative service
- Support the directors and clinical leadership in the effective management and continuous improvement of the emergency department
Administration Diploma or equivalent Qualification from a reputable educational institution
