Recreation Centre Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and community-focused Recreation Centre Supervisor to manage the operations of their vibrant centre in Nelspruit . You will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, supervising staff, ensuring facility safety and cleanliness, and enhancing the user experience for all community members. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to excellent customer service, and a passion for promoting recreational and sporting activities within the Mpumalanga community.

• Supervise daily operations of the recreation centre, ensuring smooth running of all programs and facilities.
• Manage and schedule centre staff, including receptionists, custodians, and program leaders.
• Ensure the facility is maintained to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Oversee booking systems for sports courts, meeting rooms, and equipment.
• Respond to patron inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist in the planning and execution of community events and recreational programs.
• Implement and enforce centre policies and procedures.

• Previous experience in facility management, supervisory roles, or recreation programming.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage staff and volunteers effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to public facilities.
• Customer service-oriented with problem-solving capabilities.
