Audit Manager

About the Role

Our client, a leading firm in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead audit engagements in Nelspruit . This role involves planning, executing, and finalizing audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. You will be responsible for managing audit teams, providing mentorship, and building strong client relationships. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working remotely and from the office in Mpumalanga , catering to a modern work style.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of auditing principles, and a commitment to delivering high-quality assurance services.

• Plan, supervise, and review all phases of audit engagements from start to finish.
• Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for audit matters.
• Lead, train, and mentor audit staff, fostering a high-performance team culture.
• Assess client internal controls and identify potential risks and control deficiencies.
• Ensure audits are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget, meeting auditing standards .
• Prepare audit reports, communicate findings to clients, and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), ACCA, or equivalent is mandatory.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in external audit.
• Proven experience in managing audit teams and client engagements.
• In-depth knowledge of ISAs , IFRS, and South African Companies Act.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills .
