About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of solar and wind projects in and around Klerksdorp . You will manage all phases of project life cycles, from initial feasibility studies and site acquisition to construction, commissioning, and handover. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy landscape.
The hybrid work model allows for strategic remote planning and essential on-site engagement within the North West region, ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects on time and within budget.
- Manage project scope, resources, schedules, and budgets effectively.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) and external stakeholders (suppliers, contractors, regulatory bodies).
- Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and manage project challenges proactively.
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant environmental, safety, and quality standards.
- Report on project progress, milestones, and financial performance to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of solar PV and/or wind energy technologies and project development processes.
- Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
