Well Operations Supervisor

Our client is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Well Operations Supervisor to oversee drilling and completion activities in the Klerksdorp area. This crucial role involves ensuring that all well site operations are conducted in strict accordance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. You will lead and manage field teams, coordinate with service providers, and monitor daily progress to achieve operational objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.

This position is vital for maintaining safe and productive operations in the Oil & Gas industry , requiring strong leadership and hands-on expertise in well site management.

• Supervise daily drilling, completion, and workover operations on well sites.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, hazard identification, and risk mitigation procedures.
• Manage and coordinate drilling crews, service company personnel, and equipment effectively.
• Monitor operational performance, track key metrics, and ensure timely reporting of progress and incidents.
• Implement approved well programs and make necessary operational adjustments in consultation with engineering teams.
• Oversee inventory management and logistics for equipment and materials at the well site in Klerksdorp .

• Significant experience (e.g., 5+ years) in supervisory roles within drilling or well operations.
• Proven track record of managing safe and efficient field operations in the Oil & Gas sector .
• Strong knowledge of drilling fluids, cementing, casing, and completion techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
