Leading manufacturer seeks industrial engineer. Introduce and drive lean manufacturing processes in the business.

What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the South African manufacturing industry. All duties would take place in this context.

Setup continuous improvement methodology in the business

Setup quality metrics and monitoring systems

Implement TQM processes

Drive Lean, Continuous Improvement and “right first time” Initiatives

Reduce defect rates and defect causes

Improve quality while reducing manufacturing costs

Drive quality as a culture throughout the business

Key Job Deliverables (First 6-12 Months):

Driving significant Improvements in Efficiency Implement existing efficiency improvement plans

Introduce new improvement plans to complement existing plans

Introduce new ideas on how the business can be more effective

Background work experience

5+ years experience in the Lean Manufacturing, TQM and similar philosophies. Specifically applied to manufacturing

Degree in Industrial Engineering or Quality (BSC or Btech)

Proven track record of efficiency improvements, cost saving and quality enhancement (we will check references)
