Mixer Paint

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Paint Mixer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and matching paints according to specifications, ensuring consistency and quality for production needs.

• Grade 12 (Std 10)
• Must have good time keeping skills.
• Must be literate in English (read, speak and write) and be able to communicate effectively with any given group.
• Must Prepared to work shifts
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Forklift license will be advantageous.
• Experience in paint mixing or a related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
• Knowledge of safety procedures when handling chemicals
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Adherence to safe working practices for the production.
• Monitor and check production processes to ensure they are within acceptable standards.
• Monitor and check quality and ensure that the correct batches are supplied to the Coating Department.
• Monitor and move raw materials, profiles and finished product.
• Stacks products in accordance with layout plan
• Moves full / empty containers to required locations as per instruction.
• Ensures conformance to housekeeping, health and safety standards.
• Required to work shifts and overtime.
• Must have very good eye sight to be able to check paint samples
• Knowledge of pumps
• Be able to read and understand paint formulations
• Lab experience would be advantageous
• Collect and prepare paint batches
• Have sound knowledge of how to work with a scale
• Mix and prepare paint to required formulas and color standards
• Operate mixing equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of batches and materials used
• Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals and supplies
• Support production teams with timely delivery of mixed paints
