A renowned Aviation Engineering company is looking for a Industrial Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in the Helderberg Area, Cape Town.

• Matric plus Tertiary qualification – Diploma or
  
  B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Production and or Training in a manufacturing environment highly advantageous
• Minimum of 2-5 years proven relevant experience technical training an advantage

• Conduct thorough analysis of production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization.
• Co-coordinate Lean workshops to improve KPIs and foster continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement advanced engineering methods for process optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production schedules, resource allocation, and the factory master plan.
• Utilize mathematical modeling, simulation tools, and operational excellence principles for efficient plant design and continuous improvement.
• Monitor production progress, adjust schedules, and support on-time product delivery while aiming for operational excellence.
• Develop layout plans and material flow diagrams to maximize resource utilization and facilitate smooth production flow.
• Design ergonomic workplace layouts using lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and ensure employee safety.
• Conduct facility assessments and implement operational processes to optimize plant, equipment, and employee usage.
• Support Process Design & Detail Industrial Engineering through simulations, design calculations, and process optimization.
• Work closely with supply chain partners to optimize logistics and minimize carrying costs.
• Coordinate production activities to synchronize assembly flow and minimize inventory levels.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Six Sigma projects and Kaizen events.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams in identifying process improvements and implementing solutions.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through training and fostering employee engagement.
