Location: Port Shepstone

Seeking a Production Manager in Port Shepstone. Mid Career level with 4-6 years of experience. Permanent position in Production sector. Strong background in production management and quality control. Key duties include overseeing production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Branch Operations Manager Port Shepstone Key Performance Areas

  • Production Oversight & Quality Control
    • Oversee daily production activities to meet quality specifications.
    • Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
    • Monitor product quality and conduct regular checks.
  • Work Standards, Discipline & Housekeeping
    • Maintain work standards, discipline, and housekeeping practices.
    • Drive professionalism and accountability among teams.
  • Occupational Health & Safety Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Conduct safety inspections and implement measures.
    • Enforce safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Systems, Standards & Continuous Improvement
    • Implement production systems and operational standards.
    • Identify improvement opportunities and support new processes.
    • Ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
  • SOPs, Policies & Operational Controls
    • Implement SOPs and policies.
    • Assist in drafting or updating SOPs for efficiency.
    • Conduct audits to ensure compliance.
  • Skills & Experience Profile
    • OHSA Competence
      Demonstrated understanding of Safety requirements.
    • ISO Principles
      Basic knowledge of relevant ISO standards.
    • Technical Background
      Understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
    • Manufacturing Production Knowledge
      Strong knowledge of production systems and workflows.
    • Policy & SOP Development
      Skilled in drafting and implementing operational policies.
    • Quality Control Understanding
      Experience enforcing quality standards.
    • Leadership & Communication
      Ability to chair meetings and lead teams effectively.
    • Training & Staff Development
      Experience in training and guiding production teams.
    Qualifications & Experience 5-10 years’ experience in production management or operations. Knowledge in logistics, warehouse, and freight sectors. Strong record in team management and operational improvement.
    Remuneration: R21 000 Net
