This role is responsible to oversee the manufacturing process to ensure product quality and compliance with safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate production schedules to meet deadlines and optimise workflow.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain to maintain necessary stock of raw materials.
- Schedule and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and breakdowns promptly.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the quality supervisors to address product defects and implement corrective actions.
- Utilise lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimise resource utilisation.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Address any safety concerns or violations promptly and effectively.

- Related tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- 4-5 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience in maintenance coordination and equipment troubleshooting.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in using production management software (ERP) and maintenance tracking systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
