Welding Inspector; Iws

Position: WELDING INSPECTOR (IWS)
Location: Vanderbijlpark

Our client is looking for a welding inspector to join their team.

Purpose of the Role To ensure all welding activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures, quality standards, codes, specifications, and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements
· IWS (International Welding Specialist) qualification (essential)
· Welding Inspector qualification advantageous
· Minimum 5 years' experience in a fabrication or workshop environment
· Experience with pressure vessels, tanks, piping, or structural steel advantageous
· Sound understanding of welding procedures and weld defects
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
· Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection procedures

Key Responsibilities
· Conduct visual weld inspections
· Verify compliance with WPSs and welding procedures
· Monitor welder qualifications and certifications
· Prepare inspection reports and quality documentation
· Identify and report non-conformances
· Liaise with production and quality teams
· Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
· Support client and third-party inspections
