About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established and respected food manufacturing company, is looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to lead a high-volume, continuous manufacturing operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on production leader with strong technical expertise and a proven track record of improving operational performance, leading multi-shift teams, and driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily production operations across multiple shifts.
- Drive productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost optimisation.
- Ensure production targets are consistently achieved.
- Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and operational teams.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, housekeeping, and health & safety.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource utilisation.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to maximise plant performance.
- Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Management, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years' Production Management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years' experience managing multi-shift production teams.
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, continuous processing, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Knowledge of ISO, HACCP, or food safety systems will be advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
