Location: Kariega
Our client is seeking a skilled Utility II Operator to operate, maintain, and support production equipment within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring machines operate efficiently, minimising downtime, maintaining product quality, and supporting production targets.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (NQF
4). - Trade Tested Artisan qualification (NQF
5). - Minimum 3 years' operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, SAP/ERP systems advantageous).
- Operate, set up, and maintain production machinery in accordance with operating procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure optimal production output and product quality.
- Perform basic maintenance and fault-finding to minimise breakdowns and downtime.
- Ensure extraction, cooling, and related systems are operating effectively.
- Complete production logs, job cards, and required documentation accurately.
- Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and company compliance standards.
- Report equipment faults, risks, and operational concerns promptly.
- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of maintenance practices and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety-conscious and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
