WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
To operate the Reverse Osmosis Plant (RO Plant) and ensure that the specified conditions on the plant are met and samples are taken accordingly. All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class (manufacturing) philosophy, principles and practices.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
To ensure Safety adherence on shift:
- Housekeeping
- Raise tags and conversation cards
- Identify hazards
- Prepare equipment for maintenance
- Issue PTW
- Basic process safety knowledge
- Basic Firefighting, first aid knowledge
Drive high performance targets with the team:
- Sampling
- Do Lab analysis (Ca, Silica, Alkanity, PH, etc) using handheld instrument
- Take readings and do plant inspections
- Check HMI trends in the control room and adjust if needed
- Calibration of PH meter every 2- 3 day
- Continuous monitoring of healthy/fault status of the plant in the control room
- Stopping and starting of pumps
- Opening and closing of valves
- Check dosing tank levels daily
- Chemicals make up – check levels and refill
- Report deviations to the team leader
- Attend SOR meetings and give feedback on plant performance
- Ro plant chemical stock taking and informing team leader if stock is low

- NQF 3
Experience
- 2 – 5 years' relevant experience
