Mechanical Factotum - Production

Two-a-day Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Factotum - Production. This permanent, weekly remunerated vacancy exists in our Production Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment within the facility. This includes preventive maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and support production efficiency during the packing season.

• Support preventative maintenance activities.
• Monitor machine performance and report faults.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers.
• Assist the Engineering team with machine maintenance and repairs.
• Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and company policies.
• Perform other engineering-related duties as required.
• And any other legitimate tasks as and when required.

• Basic computer literacy.
• Technical background is essential.
• Grade 12 certificate or any qualification equivalent to matric;
• An Electrical or Mechanical qualification will be advantageous
• Minimum 2–3years’ experience in a manufacturing or packhouse environment
• Knowledge of sensors, photo-electric sensors ("eyes") , and reflectors will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends during peak season
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
