Production Manager

Minimum requirements:

• Ensure that the daily production operations of the plant run efficiently and without disruption.
• Manage production schedules and workflow to meet operational targets.
• Control and monitor the number of carcasses received and liaise with the Meat Board and veterinary services regarding allocations.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety and quality control standards.
• Maintain smooth production flow and ensure adherence to all operational standards
• Oversee maintenance of equipment and facilities to prevent downtime
• Analyse production-related budget variances and implement corrective actions to address losses or discrepancies
• Manage inventory levels and oversee supply chain logistics to ensure continuous production
• Monitor animal health and welfare in line with regulatory and company standards
• Manage daily meat cutting and processing operations
• Food Safety & Quality Compliance
  • Zero major non-conformances during internal or external audits.
  • Maintain product rejection rate below agreed threshold
