Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Klippoortjie, Germiston, is seeking a skilled and reliable Boilermaker to join their production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance of steel structures and metal components according to engineering drawings and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a fabrication or manufacturing environment, possess excellent technical skills, and be able to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Salary: R15 000 – R20 000 per month (depending on experience)

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install steel structures, frames, tanks, platforms, and other fabricated components.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and fit steel and other metal materials.
• Operate fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, rollers, grinders, drills, and cutting equipment.
• Perform tack welding where required to facilitate fabrication.
• Ensure all fabricated components meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
• Repair and modify existing steel structures and equipment.
• Assemble components accurately before final welding.
• Conduct inspections on completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with site installations when required.
• Work overtime when operational requirements demand.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Boilermaker (Trade Test preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Boilermaker within a manufacturing, engineering, or steel fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience working with structural steel and sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficient in the use of fabrication equipment and hand tools.
• Good understanding of welding principles (MIG, TIG and Arc welding experience advantageous).
• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
• Medically fit to work in a manufacturing environment.

Working Hours
