Corrugated Machine Operator – Howick, Kwa Zulu-Natal
One of our valued Clients in the Roofing and Building materials sector, based in Howick, KZN, is seeking a skilled and motivated Corrugated Machine Operator. The role requires a hands‑on individual who will take ownership, work independently, and contribute to the development of systems.
Applicants must reside in the Howick area.
- Operate and monitor corrugated machinery to ensure efficient production.
- Set up and adjust machine settings according to job specifications.
- Prepare equipment using job orders and production requirements.
- Load and feed paper rolls and other materials into the machine.
- Monitor production output and machine performance.
- Inspect finished products for defects, quality, and dimensional accuracy.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report machine faults or maintenance needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Record production data, downtime, and material waste in production logs.
- Minimize waste and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Assist with routine cleaning and basic machine maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 (Two) years’ experience operating manufacturing or production machinery.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and report equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Computer literate with the ability to capture and maintain production records.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift materials safely.
- Willing and able to work shifts, including overtime when required.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, noisy manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
R73.78 per hour.
