This role is the first responder to any reliability issues faced on shift within the Factory.
Own process & equipment reliability for the shift, driving FTR quality & throughput. Drive loop closure in the BDA’s & RCFA’s generated, ensure basic condition of the area is maintained & sustained through TPM. Coach process controllers on best practice, and support Improvement teams.
Strive for improvement through problem solving, implementation of World Class Manufacturing Systems and operator coaching
- Take the lead on shift for all reliability aspects of the specified area within the production department.
- The role entails for the candidate to take direct ownership of the reliability standards of the designated area through driving preventative maintenance in a coordinated approach with the PM Team (updating of PM schedules, critical spares made stock item, reliability improvement strategies and coaching of process controllers to deliver the required improvement.
- Fulfil the role as a maintenance subject matter expert for the production shift, ensuring that best practices are researched, implemented and maintained. This would also include owning training of the operational team towards autonomous maintenance requirements.
- Continuously drive process improvement through applying process and World Class Manufacturing Systems knowledge to drive sustainable solutions in terms of reliability and the cost thereof.
- Drive problem solving in the applied area/focus area to ensure that challenges are resolved quickly, but sustainably. Establishing root cause and preventative actions would be key to reaching success, along with driving implementation through the operational teams.
- Proactively manage the drivers of cost in your area of responsibility to assist in producing a product on time, in full and at the best possible quality and most efficient cost
- Ability to run & drive improvement teams in designated area OTIF for machine & equipment reliability.
- Be an active ambassador of our industry, craft and products
5-8 years min experience within the engineering & maintenance environment
Experience around practical problem solving and ownership around solution implementation
Experience in driving World Class Manufacturing exercises will be advantageous
Proven experience in leading teams and driving ownership
