About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Industrial Engineer to optimize production processes and enhance operational efficiency at their facility in Vereeniging . This role is central to improving productivity, reducing waste, and ensuring the highest standards of quality within the manufacturing environment. You will work closely with production teams, management, and quality control to identify challenges and implement innovative engineering solutions.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background and a passion for driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in terms of speed, cost, and quality.
- Design, implement, and monitor production systems, layouts, and workflows to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to eliminate waste and improve operational flow.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality, and efficiency, and report findings to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on industrial or process engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools.
- Experience with CAD software for layout design and process flow diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex manufacturing challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams on the shop floor.
